Micah's Note:

Last week we had local beef from the Schenks. This week we have local lamb from McLane's own Isaac Harrington. We'll mix the lamb with some exotic spices and serve it on the pasta so nice they named it twice: couscous. Lemon charred on the grill gives a bold mix of sweet, savory-bitter and tang to the pasta. Green beans and carrots tossed in a summery lemon-cumin vinaigrette are the token vegtables this week because I have to put something in that upper right hand corner of the individual meal containers. (Those of you who get family packs wont get that insider's joke.) When you eat this, heat everything up but the sauce. The sauce is best cold and will really help balance the food on a hot day. Go ahead and imagine you're on a picturesque Greek island, or the foothills of the Morrocan mountains, or in Israel. I wonder if Jesus ever had this dish? If He did, His lamb was most likely not raised in Edinboro, Pa.
